These small fine Japanese Akoya pearls are treasured for their round shapes and thick pearl nacre; they will not peel like low grade pearls. Our Akoya pearls are genuine Japanese Akoya pearls, and are not the significantly cheaper Chinese saltwater pearls that are commonly sold as Akoya by discount jewelers.

Gorgeous handpicked pearls exhibit the most desired rosé overtones, highly reflective luster and pronounced surface orient. At 6.5-7.0 millimeters in diameter, they are the smallest size available in our collection of genuine Akoya pearl strands.
